We were just outside of Casper and I agree that no photos or words can fully express the feeling of deep stillness and overwhelming awe. What an experience, eh? I was awake for 36 hours, finally got to bed at midnight last night, and slept until noon! The only bad part was the drive home. Slow, bumper-to-bumper traffic from Thornton Idaho to Ogden Utah.
We were only about 600 meters from the centerline.
