I'm trying to get my hands on a pair of the 9 x 63 roof prisms adrvertised by Meade in the last two issues of S & T.  They are listed for $100.00 which seemed like a reasonable price; that's what I think I paid for those 15 x 70 Bears from Sportsmans a year or so ago.  From my experience, if the Barskas are the same as the Bears, buy them.  Especially for fifty bucks. They will perform really, really well at that price!

 

Thought I'd give the Meades a try though; size wize they fit right in betwen my 8 x 56 Orions and the Bears.  I talked with Oceanside Telescope, and they said in a week or so.  Must be on a slow boat from China...
