I did have tongue in cheek with the math stuff. Everyone has way bigger brains than I do. :D But, I am serious about the SPOC and SLAS stuff. I don't feel welcome. I know SPOC is open to the public, but the times I've gone I didn't feel like I was part of the group. It's probably just me, but this is how I felt. ++++++++++++++++++ Troy Davidson On Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 3:02 PM, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:
Hi Troy,
I do hope you had your tongue planted firmly in your cheek as you wrote that. :)
Yeah, the math I see here is beyond me. Like you I tend to just look things up. Much easier. And one of the ways I look things up is to ask questions here on the list.
And do make a return visit (or two or three or...) to SPOC. Everyone is welcome out there. The more the merrier!
Clear skies!

I just wanted to send an email saying that you all are way smarter about astonomy then I am. You all are using actual math to figure things out! I just look up.
I am so overwhelmed by everything on this list. I feel like I don't even belong. And, I've gone to SPOC once and just didn't feel like I fit in. Everyone looked at me like I was invading their special club. I'm the wallflower of the Utah Astronomers.
