Hi Rich, Yeah, that was Antares. I have been trying to get a look at comet Lulin and it is close to Scorpio. The moon has been messing me up the last few mornings. I use dschubba (Beta Scorpii) as a hoping off place. Lulin is about mag 7.9 right now and getting brighter. I saw it about a quarter to 7 on my way to the gym, and it was just as lovely as it could be. Being out of touch with the sky lately, was that Antares just above it, or...? Hope all of you are enjoying the new year so far. /R _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://gallery.utahastronomy.com Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://gallery.utahastronomy.com Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
