[Utah-astronomy] The Sky

I had a great view of the shadow of the earth while I was going to the polling place this morning - including the Belt of Vebus. This time of year those things seem to really be aparent. Then, on the way to my vehicle after work, I saw one of the best golden aureoles while the sun was behind a bilding. Quite spectacular. This was followed by a brilliant green flash that lasted for a couple of seconds as I was driving off the base. Then, of course, the shadow of the earth once again in the east including the Belt of Venus once more. It was a pretty good day for watching the sky.
