I had to use some magnification to see the sunspots that you were talking about.
I counted 35 to 40 spots today. Five of them are fairly large and there are a couple of good-sized clusters.
After I had observed for twenty minutes or so I tried to see the spots looking through a piece of Badder film and thought that maybe I could just barely make out a couple of them but by then the clouds were starting to interfere with seeing.
It was well worth the time spent. I sure would like to have a hydrogen alpha filter because I really enjoy looking at the sun.
