Chuck, I looked at this as well and I must add that this is the best group of sunspots that I have seen since the fall of 2007. I hope this is an indication for what is to come. This has been the longest downtime I can recal for our local star. Today it's a short curved string of spots, with a little light patch in the middle that should be watched. It was noticeable in both white light and hydrogen-alpha. Nice arch prominence on the limb, as well as a few smaller spikes that developed and disappeared quickly.
I set up at Bob Grant's house today; the drive from my house to his is the perfect excuse to exercise the RX-8, and the PST and TeleTrack fit easily in the small trunk. We set up the telescopes just outside his garage so that we could stand in shade while the telescopes themselves were in sunlight. Really made a difference using the garage eaves as a "gobi".

There is a nice little sunspot near the center of the Sun's disk today.
Maybe more soon???
