They weren't very bright, but definitely there. And they quickly faded just as soon as I had snapped a few photos of them. I took a few more photos (click the right arrow in Flickr) and caught another very bright pass of ISS a bit later.

Ah, but I did get one small treat, as I was approaching Provo I saw ISS moving stately across the sky.
I got home about three and after opening the observatory I took a few minutes to concentrate on the northern sky. Alas, no aurora.
Did anyone here see the aurora?
