[Utah-astronomy] The Sun and the weekend

Some terrific prominences this afternoon, as well as lots of spots and surface detail. I have to work for half a day Saturday morning so must miss both the sun party and the ATM session- tough choice even if I had the day off! Hopefully the clouds hold-off tomorrow afternoon and I can get some time in at the PST and maybe even some backyard viewing at night, if I can stay awake. Planetary nebulae don't take much of a hit from moonlight, with narrowband filters. Double stars and clusters usually fare pretty well from the city and under moonlight, as well. Beggars can't be choosers. ;-)
