I wouldn't rule out 1.25" collimators, we usually look through a 1.25" eye piece and they work just fine and can save a bit of cash. I use a 1.25" on my 16" dob all the time and it does just fine. Please let me know what brand and model that you think is a good model to purchase. Or if you have one you would like to sell or ? to a new DOB. I had the opportunity to watch 2 versions at work last night, (Pit-N-Pole) Each one had options I liked. Let me know what you think Mark _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php
