The latest information for all to be aware of is that the Rainbow Point Private Star Parties will be limited to 30 vehicles with equipment each night. There is an additional maximum of 20 parking stalls for those that want to go to Rainbow Point without equipment yet we are encouraging those without telescopes to attend the public star parties across from the Bryce Canyon Visitor's Center. Those that are going to Rainbow Point are asked to donate at least one night at a public star party. Rainbow Point will most likely be used by those involved with the ALCON Astrophotography Contest. The ALCON Observing Awards Program sponsored by Astronomy Magazine can be worked on at both the public and private star parties. Keep watching the ALCON 2011 website for more details as they are posted in the next couple of weeks. You will now see more confirmed speakers appearing on the website. Celestron has committed to be a major sponsor and vendor at ALCON. The Astronomical League has a booth at the upcoming NEAF convention to promote ALCON and get commitments from additional vendors. The marketing flyer being used at NEAF is attached. Thank you. Lowell Lyon
