Hi all, By sheer luck I got a "transit of boeing" shot with Venus during that 20 minute period before sunset when the transit was below cloud base. I just had my point and shoot through the eyepiece of my Chuck Hard's SunSpotter looking down over the airport from my house near the University, I can't believe my luck! Earlier, for the start of the transit, at the last minute some friends and I drove to Lehi where the GOES VIS showed some clear sky, and sure enough clear sky when we got there, but 45 mph winds. By standing in the lee of an office building, we got the wind-speed down to maybe 10 mph. A few people came out of the office building and I got them in a shot with the SunSpotter, note the wind in the trees in the background. What a time to have a front pass through!
