It was never "total." That pesky piece at the top just never fully immersed itself into the shadow. Still, from my position on a lower east bench, the strong orange - not red was there. BUT towards the end of the eclipse, around 6:08, the disk went very dark, no color. Did others note this? ----- Original Message ----- From: "M Wilson via Utah-Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, April 4, 2015 9:20:20 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] This morning's total lunar eclipse Well, judging from what Patrick posted, a NEAR total one. I didn't make it out to SPOC, but did get this shot from a small pond located in the Highbury neighborhood of West Valley City. http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=6170&g2_imageViewsIndex=1 _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
