Thanks Chuck. Do you have a particular spot? I'm not too familiar with (anything aside from SLC and National Parks) the area, so I'm open to suggestions. I hit Lakeside all the time in the summer. I work late, so I'm willing to stop by the house, grab the 'scope and the wife and head wherever to arrive in time for the event. Anywhere on the benches of north Davis county with a clear view over the GSL in a SSW direction will have about as low a horizon as you can get without driving too far, if you live in SL or Davis counties.

So the weather report for next weekend looks good so far. Who's got a suggestion for best viewing location for low western horizon?
