Joel and Bruce, I got Stellarium up and running over the weekend. After tearing my hair out for a couple of hours (I believe that's called the learning curve). Like all programs it is perfectly obvious how to drive the program - if you already know how. But, if you've never seen it before nothing is obvious. I managed to muddle thru just enough to get a solution to my problem. I set an observing location as well as a future date and made incremental adjustments of the time the moon would rise. Then I let time free run until the Moon reached the desired elevation angle. In trying to advance or reverse time and change the rate with the J & L keys, I found it difficult to stop at the precise elevation I desired with the K key. The displayed time seemed to overshoot going forward and undershoot going backward. Can you give me a hint as to how to stop time more precisely when it is changing? Regards, Ed Stimpson
