That's one of the reasons SLAS moved to SLCC. It's more centrally located in the valley so members in the southern end won't have to go so far. The location point was made with the obvious upturn in attendance. As for the meeting. It went great, but then I am probably prejudice. The four presenters from Salt Lake Community College were great. The new venue is easy to get to and a very nice (read that terrific) setup. The SLCC Astronomical Society is hosting us, so we don't have to pay rent. Parking was free tonight and close to the building. It is believed parking will be free in the future, but that is not a guarantee. AND it was the largest turnout in a long time- 62.
