Hi Van, I do remember. This is a disturbing development. The next time I go out, I'll take a look and if it seems at all iffy I'll go back to the freeway overpass and cross it and find a spot on the other side. I imagine it should be at least as good as Lakeside. Thanks for the warning! Best wishes, Joe ________________________________ From: Erwin Van Hook <ecvanhook@hotmail.com> To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Monday, August 13, 2012 3:37 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Lakeside dirt road Joe,No, I was driving my two wheel drive Ford F250, but a family in a four wheel drive Tundra was also having problems, although they did not get stuck. I have new, M+S Michelins, they just got me through. It was difficult to maintain directional control. That was my 7th trip to Lakeside, but the first time the road was a challenge. I met you at Lakeside in July, Joe, you may recall my white pickup and the Binoview. I hope your imaging went well that night. -Van _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
