I suspect that by now most green laser pointers are being sold to non-astronomers and to people who think of them as high-tech toys. I would be surprised if amateur astronomers turned out to be the culprits in the majority of these incidents. I've also been relieved that the news media haven't made a big deal of the connection of green laser pointers to the amateur astronomy community; at least I'm not aware of any reports to that affect. Remember, besides Federal law, in Utah it is illegal to point a laser at a person, vehicle (which includes aircraft), or animal. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com ----- No virus found in this message.
