Funny you say that Joe. I'm not dyslexic, but my grandfather (now I wonder if he was dyslexic) taught me to tie my shoes on a trip to Disneyland a year or two before he died. I was 5 years old, and he didn't teach me the 'standard' way--he taught me the way you describe. A few years later, I learned the 'standard' way, but I still tie them the way he taught me...it's only one of 3 or 4 memories I have of him, so it's kinda my way of keeping him in my mind. Back to collimating though--do the Bob's Knobs help out when collimating an SCT? I'm looking for ways to make collimating Dad's scope a bit easier. The first time we tried (at Bryce) it was a disaster. Second time worked perfectly though. Dan On Jul 25, 2010, at 10:26 PM, Joe Bauman wrote:
As a dyslexic, tying shoelaces the standard way is a trick I never mastered. Ever since I was a kid my solution was to make two loops (per shoe, one per lace) and tie them together with one or two granny knots. And collimating is a nightmare for me. -- Best wishes, Joe

Who complains about collimating? It's like tying shoe-laces. ;o)
