The sun continues to be absolutely covered with spots; actually, the impression is of one massive super-group, with smaller spots scattered around the disk. Very impressive; I'm taking my binos & solar filters with me to work all this week, and will get up to check on aurorae whenever I can haul my sorry butt out of bed in the middle of the night. I was up and watching for them, didn't see anything. The view south was nice though, very clear view of the milky way and it's subtle knots. So it was time well spent. :-)
