Actually M31 can be difficult to get during a marathon if you spend too much time looking for M74. There is another one you can get easily from inside the city, that is M45. There is talk amoung some of the members of OAS of getting together but it will probably be at Golden Spike if it even happens. Most of us are going to Dead Horse Point for our second annual star party down there the first weekend in April. Chuck, If you want to suggest a place there are a couple of people that are interested in a local Messier Marathon. Let me know and I will help communicate to see if they want to join you.
