They are not archeological sites, and their value as art is in the eye of the beholder. To me they are a concrete mess that doesn't belong in a natural setting. I don't even see much astronomical value in them, if any at all. But, to each, his or her own. I won't judge someone else who sees value in them. I doubt you would be so dismissive if you had ever visited and enjoyed the Sun Tunnels. They are a major outdoor art installation and are famous worldwide. I would think that anybody interested in astronomy would celebrate them.
