I was at scout camp and had about 30 scouts waiting in great anticipation for it to appear over the ridge. I offered a prize to the first one to spot it (it was quite bright, so more a test of reflexes than of visual acuity). They oohed and ahhed when it finally arrived, and clapped when it finally faded into Earth's shadow. We also had some good telescope views of the moon, Saturn, and Albireo.
