I thought it was pretty interesting how the color changed just based on the haze in the atmosphere (you can see the atmospheric turbulence in the edges). #51 was the last one shot in this sequence. I didn't process the color at all. Personally, I like #53. I have one of the clouds just a little to the left, but I liked the pocket that Venus slid into. And reading Daniel Turner's other message, I knew there was going to be a billion pictures of Venus and the naked Sun...so I was really trying to be different. Missed the airplane, and I thought a pine tree would be too boring. So I picked the clouds. Thanks for the comments, all! Dan On Jun 7, 2012, at 12:06 PM, M Wilson wrote:
I vote for Picture #51. Sun has color to it.

I had to leave the Museum early, my wife had to go in for a surgery (as the cutter, not the cuttee. I was on daddy duty), so these were taken just as the Sun was poking through the clouds near my house.

Nikon D500, 200mm lens, with a Baader filter I made that morning. I liked the way the clouds rolled in, made it a little more interesting IMHO.
Thanks, Dan
