There's a guy selling one in Florida if you're willing to pay for shipping (and you'll get more than just the mount for a great price): "This telescope comes with two mounts: 1. Original equitorial mount that I've never used (I don't know if it works). It appears intact. 2. Homemade Altazimuth mount. I refurbished the scope when I bought it in late 90's with walnut shells glued to interior of tube coated with ultraflat black paint according to instruction I got from this group back then. The 6-inch mirror is a little dirty, but the aluminum coating on the back looks good. I have three 1-1/4 inch eyepieces included as follows: 1. K 40 mm E.W.F., 2. Kellner celestron 25 mm, 3. Criterion A.R. 7 mm. I've got about 10 pictures that I could email you if you are interested. I'm interested in selling it to someone who will come to pick it up for $225. I live in Beverly Hills, Florida about 80 miles north of Tampa, Florida." rtellad@yahoo.com ________________________________ From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, February 8, 2013 2:05 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Old mounting The RV6 mount fetches top dollar these days. Even damaged examples are sought after by collectors for parts. Good luck. On Feb 8, 2013 2:02 PM, "Brent Watson" <brentjwatson@yahoo.com> wrote:
I am looking for an old equatorial mounting for a reasonable price. An example of what I am looking for would be a mounting from a Criterion RV6 - for those who remember what that is. If anyone has one gathering dust I would be interested in acquisition if you are amenable.
