Deb, I take it at that time nobody there in the St. George area noticed anything amiss with the spacecraft? I feel heartsick over this horrible tragedy; a terrible blow to space exploration and another grim reminder just how much risk there is to the brave men and women who are willing to commit to the frontiers of discovery. I sure hope this doesn't set things back too far at NASA, like the aftermath of the Challenger accident did. This is a total shock. I saw it flyover Ivins, UT at about 6:56 am. It was incredible! I went back to bed for another hour when I got up and heard the shocking news. My heart goes out to the astronauts and their families.
