I got some info on that but I'm not sure where to place the marker or how to give directions. Any tips would be appreciated. If you are talking about another location, please tell me more. Thanks. I was out of town and didn't read through all the emails so I don't know if Debbie shared the Virgin site with you. It is a good site if it isn't windy. Especially if you stay on the side of the hill closer to the highway so that you don't get the dam lights shining off the cliffs.
Thanks, Dave

Debbie - can you help me pinpoint the Fort Pierce area so I can put it on the map - along with your warnings. Any other Hwy 91 sites too - I did put the Anasazi trailhead up on the map. If you look at the map and have corrections, additional comments, or more sites, please let me know - if you Google stgeorgeastronomygroup the site should be the first search result - the map is on the "Viewing locations" page.

One thing about the Fort Pearce site I forgot to mention. I used to go out there with OAS for our winter star party in February. We had a few problems with four-wheelers and people wanting to party. One year, 2005, it was too muddy so we set up on a flat grassy area to observe. It can get windy out there too. I recall taking my 8 inch Celestron out there one night and the wind kicked up, had trouble observing because my eyes were irratated.
I also remember calling the St George Police in 2012 cause some guys were shooting rifles near the Arizona Strip. We saw tracer fire and it felt like we were in a war zone. You have to be careful out in the desert especially on the weekends. I also know of a couple of places off of highway 9. I prefer quiet and calm.

These are great comments everyone - thank you. Please keep them coming. I will plot them on Google Maps in the next day or two - along with comments about the sites.
