I would also think the optics should not be hauled on the trailer, should be hauled in the truck bed. Something with shock absorbers.
It's actually nearly two tons (3500 lbs.) The mirror alone is 900 lbs. Yes, Mike has in mind a type of small crane to move the telescope on and off a car transport type trailer.
The scope disassembles, so the entire thing will not be moved on and off the trailer at once.

It is reasonably well-balanced Joe, but it weighs a ton. Takes a bit of
muscle to get it going. If it wasn't balanced, it wouldn't stay where you put it. But overcoming the rest mass does take energy, and you don't have the leverage of moving it by the upper, long end of the telescope. You have to move it by the short end, a much less efficient lever. It's a bit easier at the eyepiece, where the lever is a bit longer. Things move out of the field of view FAST!
