We did have enough telescopes. It was really a fun activity. Showing Saturn to people for the first time is always good. Saturn is very nice to look at and people will remember it for a long time. As a funny thing that happened, they had a fire truck come to wash a little of the parking lot so a helicopter could land their Saturday morning. The boys taunted the fireman. He blasted them with the nozzle on top of the truck. It blew them head over heals off of the little grassy hill they were on. We all enjoyed a good laugh. We will need to check with Mike Klein on the Arches party. We have our last Antelope Island party on that Saturday but it might be possible to do both. I will pass your email along to him. Dave, Did you get enough telescopes for the Boy Scout activity? I hope it went well. Would OAS like to meet SLAS at Arches NP the weekend of October 12-14 for a star party? They would love to have us come down. -A _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.utahastronomy.com
