I would like to go deeper at a dark sky location and see if I can pick up more detail in the background galaxies. I took the images from a backyard in St. George. -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of John M. Chuck, you sure the bloated stars aren't just that old, low-res monitor you're using? (Just kidding, I see it too, but it's still very fine.) One of the things I find interesting is that you can see what appear to be a number of more distant galaxies (the most prominent just above the "bridge" arm of M51); but there appear to be at least half a dozen down the left side of the frame. Pretty cool! _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
