Sorry I seem to have forgotten the link. We all thought it was a local phenomenon coming from Dougway. It appears it was over the Pacific. Also reported on KSL and videos all over YouTube. Most in urban settings saw only a few moments at the beginning five of us at pit n pole watched it in binoculars and Jay's 17.5" scope for at least 15 minutes. Others who arrived later reported seeing the cloud as they drove. At first we thought it was a helicopter with a search light. It was that bright. There was not fog in the area so we thought it might be dust it was illuminating but then the "searchlight" faded and the glow did not. This was the point when urban observers thought the show over but it was actually just getting started. The residual glow from the cloud of fuel remained for another 20 minutes directly over the Milky Way making it a bit hard to decide when it finally ended. It expelled a large glowing cloud near the horizon in the general direction of Sagittarius and thick vapor trail appearing to originate from the nearby ground then a small object was seen leaving the cloud at an upward 45 degree angle toward the north. It maneuvered changing directions several times as it traveled roughly north. It continued to expel smaller amount of glowing vapor in. Cone shape from one end, then in an hourglass shape from both ends. It then spun slowly on it axis a few times then we observed a cone shape from one end and glowing waves from the opposite end. It was truly odd. http://www.geekwire.com/2015/trident-missile-launch-sparks-ufo-freak-out-in-... On Sun, Nov 8, 2015 at 10:38 AM, Joan Carman <jcarman6@q.com> wrote:

I was deciding between there and the much closer but not as dark Mount Timpanogos. I think I will make the longer journey. On Sat, Nov 7, 2015 at 3:14 PM, JayLEads <jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:

Humidity is okay there but temps will be in the upper 20's to low 30's tonight. -- Thanks!
