The system kicks attachments over 40kb. I believe this was probably put in place at a time when smartphone users were concerned about bandwidth. I'm wondering it it isn't time to raise the ceiling a bit, On Tue, Jun 4, 2013 at 3:12 PM, Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com> wrote:
Patrick, I thought I was sending it back to you but it ended up in UtahAstronomy, which I guess automatically strips out any photo attachment. I'm going to fiddle with the color and try to send it directly to you. Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe,
Thanks for giving it a try.
Where did you post your image?
Cheers,
patrick

Hi Patrick, this was hard to process because in order to show the tail very well, I ended up blowing out the head so it's a little bigger than it otherwise would be. Also I used a deconvolve formula and a item that removes bloom; I cloned out some bad pixels, and adjusted the color, contrast and darkness. I had to use the clear image two or three times to give the tail enough umph. So it's probably not very good but I'm too tired to fiddle with it anymore. Gotta go to bed -- we're having breakfast with a friend at 9. Ugh for getting up then! Best wishes, Joe

I put together a packet of reduced FIT images I took of the comet this morning.
http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/2011L4.zip
Contains:
1-60s exposure with a clear filter (luminance) 1-30s exposure with a green filter 1-30s exposure with a blue filter 1-30s exposure with a red filter
Anyone care to try to assemble them into a color image?
patrick
