There are many easier, and MUCH CHEAPER ways to start fires than with a $200-$300 laser. Seriously, you have to be within a few inches of a match-head to get it to light with one of these lasers, and then hold the laser still for several seconds. It's not like you can point one out your car window while driving and ignite the grass on the side of the road. If your goal is to prevent forest fires, ban all forms of smoking in the parks. (That oughta be interesting.) The Park Service might get a little nervous over a device with fire starting abilities. Does it come with a warning not to point at dry grass? All we need is another reason to ban them.
