I was out in my hazy, LP back yard both Saturday night (Sun. morning as it was after midnight) and Sun/Mon night/morn from midnight to about 12:45; saw 6 perseids Sat., 3 of which were 1st mag or brighter, and in spite of the ubiquitous scattered clouds last night saw 3, one of which was a bright bolide that was traveling SSW directly overhead at 12:28, lighting up the sky overhead (I was looking down and looked up just in time to catch the end, surprised at how bright it had been (backlighting the clouds helped I'm sure)) and leaving a nice train for a few seconds afterward. It was a pleasant couple of evenings and not at all disappointing. ____________________________________________________________________________________Ready for the edge of your seat?
