Tonight's pass was amazing! Long and bright.
Same from the star party. The sky was still a bit bright so we didn't pick it out until it was about 1/3 of the way up the NW sky but after it passed the zenith, as Howard noted, it really brightened and everyone saw it easily. The fun thing for me, though, was watching it through my Astroscan (which is still for sale, BTW <grin>). At 15 power I didn't expect to see much but was pleasantly surprised to see both solar arrays, plainly split. We've an ISS pass in store for tomorrow evening but it will be much lower in the sky. Much more impressive for tonight's star party at SPOC will be a -8 (!!!) Iridium flare. pw
