BTW, I know where there is an original tower with the beacon mounting base. I don't know if it available though. Its also pretty isolated. The authentic seems to be expensive and maybe there are no more original parts. Making modern replacements may even allow the device to be solar powered. BTW, I am partial to the west bountiful site. Its easier to get to and is also on private land. But that private land is noxt to a gun club, so ????????? I can’t get Facebook messages on my phone so have to wait until I can get to a compter to read them. My email address is 4099wiggins@gmail.com (4099 Wiggins is the name of “my” asteroid). Regarding fixing up one of the arrows, I really like the idea and see it’s been done elsewhere. But as luck would have it the CAP person that permitted and organized the cleanup you mentioned is no longer with CAP. I asked her a while back about who I could contact about doing it again. She gave me the contact info for her replacement but despite trying to contact him a couple of times I never heard back. Personally I’d really like to do the one above Lakepoint as it’s on private property and a bit of a pain to get to so it is in excellent shape and would be less likely to be vandalized. BTW, in case you’ve not noticed, the arrow out in the west desert has been painted bright yellow. Very easy to see from the sky but that’s not the original color. patrick
