You should always go for the .com if it is available.

Even though it is for pictures, it could become so much more and .com is more commonly associated with web pages despite what type of organization it is.

I would suggest you go for #1..It has better long-term potential.

Aw no fee would be required. The gallery software is free, and I run the web server anyway for various things.  :)  The only expense I'd have would be a domain name, and heck those are fairly cheap, I can get one for $9.99  a year.  And it's fun to own domain names.

Question is.. what would be a good domain name?

Everybody vote... ;)

6. other... make a suggestion.  :)

I looked over the gallery software some and it looks pretty slick. Checking now to see if I have all the required elements.  I'm sure I do for the basic install, not sure for the fancy install.

The gallery would be limited to those folks on the list, and depending on just thow many pictures you have, and how much hard drive space I have... so we'd have to see about that.  :)  Also, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to remote link (put up a link to the picture located on my site).  Though I'd have to see if that slows the server down too much. Of course... any excuse to get a new computer is a good excuse.  ;)

That's incredibly generous of you, I'd even be willing
to pay a (small) fee. I've got hundreds of images
that I could scan, that folks may be interested in.
