I only received the prediction tonight so I have not had a chance to look at the site. But I drive past it every day so I know that whole area is fenced pasture. However I'll probably just pull off the side of the road as the prediction says you can be as much as 4.5 km from the centerline and still see a transit. Interestingly, ISS crosses the terminator only seconds before the transit. So we should see it approaching and then fade just before the crossing. BTW, I'm working on a better map showing the centerline of the pass. Will get it out later. Patrick Chuck Hards wrote:
Have you reconned the area? Is it someone's yard or an unimproved field?

Truckstop parking lot, perchance?
Not quite, but close.
The red star in the attached image shows the observing location while the truck stop is located on what the map shows as Pheasant Lane.
