Richard, So sorry to hear about your nephew. I have a six year old niece with a mass in her left jaw that could be cancerous. We'll find out later today. I agree, life is way to short not to be with friends and loved ones and to enjoy and treasure their company. I hope we all give that friend or loved one a tease, a hug or however we show our affection. On Thu, Jun 3, 2010 at 3:25 PM, Richard Tenney <retenney@yahoo.com> wrote:
Not that I'm not interested in joining y'all, but I'll be at my nephew's funeral (speaking no less) that day instead. Hope you enjoy the get-together. Life is WAY too short to not celebrate each moment that we can with friends... /R

I admit that it can be an acquired taste. Like Irish Whiskey! ;o) (OMG I've discovered "Redbreast". If God drinks Irish whiskey, He would drink Redbreast. In fact I will say that Redbreast is proof of the existence of God. Q.E.D.)
A reminder that the L&O is mostly an excuse for the conversation which centers on astronomy and science in general, as well as people, places, and associated local goings-on. Show-and-tell items are encouraged. I may bring my new (gently used) C-5 (thanks again, Steve!) and perhaps another trinket or two.

Nope...I understand it's a religion. And understanding that it's for some people, and not others. :-)
