Hi All, If this topic is off base for this group, please let me know. About a year ago, Iomega Corporation made a large donation of surplus inventory to Northridge High School's engineering program. Among the items donated were three VERY nice optical measuring microscopes and a Hitachi S-4200 Scanning Electron Microscope. As you may have heard, the Davis School District is laying off teachers, cutting programs, and increasing class sizes to try to recover from a $31 million short fall this year. There is absolutely NO money for installing, bringing up, operating, and maintaining a Scanning Electron Microscope. Would anyone out there be interested in any of this stuff? Would you know of anyone who might be interested? I can make you a deal you can't pass up! Oh, did I mention they also gave us a very nice flotation-type optical lab bench? I also have several hundred pounds of 80/20 structural aluminum and hardware which I'd hate to have to sell as scrap aluminum. I've had this stuff in my room for a year, now, and it has got to go. If you're interested, or know of someone who might be, email me off the utah-astronomy site and I can send you pictures of what I've got. My email is wsumner@dsdmail.net. My cell phone is (801) 721-5852. Thanks, Wayne A. Sumner Astronomy/Engineering Teacher Boy's Tennis Coach Northridge High School Davis School District (801) 402-8610
