Speaking of cold, I still remember the words of my D.I. he said: "Give a man fire and he will be warm for the night. Set him on fire and he will be warm the rest of his life." ;) Quoting Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com>:
I considered going to the Wedge Friday night but worried that my generator would bother follks, so I went to the West Desert. That was a spectacular night for clear skies. Not so good for my astrophotography. I'll try again during the week as I have taken some time off for the new moon. I'm surprised the Wedge wasn't cold Friday night, as I suffered miserably at my site. When I left home that afternoon it was so warm I didn't worry about a coat or sweater, of which I repented later! -- Joe
