It's not the cold that's kept me from taking a peek, Debbie, it's the damn fog! I'm up around 4 AM weekdays anyway and often grab the small refractor or binos if the sky is clear. Sometimes I use the 4.25" f/5 Dob. I perfect grab-and-go scope. On Wed, Jan 23, 2013 at 6:39 AM, Debbie <astrodeb@beyondbb.com> wrote:
With the weather warming a little lately, I've decided when the weather is good to get up in the morning and view Saturn. Has anyone had any decent views lately or has it been too cold to go out? I remember freezing my rear end off when I got first light of the TeleVue 102 refractor. A grab-n-go setup would be nice for early morning observing sessions. Waiting for the bright moon to wane.
