Chris, The directions are on the uvaa.org web page. The page is currently unavailable (4:14 pm) but should be within the next hour (I had to update the IP address and it usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour to propogate). Call me if you can't access them before you leave and I'll try to coach you there from memory. My cell is 380 3331 Rich --- Chris Russell <chris@therussells.net> wrote:
If you folks don't mind, I might join you (I still need to check with the wife). However, I've only been to the Pit N Pole once and I don't remember the way. How does one get there?
Thanks.
OK, I'll make the call; Rich because you're the only one of us with stated targets we'll give you the priority. Let's go back to the Pit N Pole. It should be a good 10 degrees warmer than the Gravel Quarry, it might dew-up, but we shouldn't get a frost and skies look fairly good till after midnight when the transparency should degrade a little, although it still won't be bad. I'm going to be away from e-mail for a while.

Robert (et al),
I'd be interested in either one, but my strong preference would be Pit 'n' Pole, despite the dew warning and the fact that I DO have to work tomorrow!
It's closer to home (for me), and has a much better southern horizon, and that's where I plan to spend most of my observing time hunting galaxies in Virgo.
What say ye?
