Craig, It's about 42 miles from my house and most of it is freeway then 5 miles to the viewpoint at the end of the road. I'm going up there Oct 21 weather permitting. I've got another location above Rockville. I was going to check on it this week but I had to cancel my fishing trip this week because of bad weather. I don't like thunder and lightning up in the mountains. When I go to Zion National Park I'll go check on the site. It is an empty cul-de-sac in a subdivision. It least it was back in Jan 2010. I may go east of Virgin around that time. I want to hit Kolob Canyons at least one more time before it gets too cold depending on the weather. It is above 6000 feet and very pleasant up there. I saw Stephan's Quintet very clearly a couple of years ago so I'm hoping for some good transparency up there.
