Hi Kelly and Mike, I found data and a picture of the cover here: http://www.importcds.com/Music/2494947/Django-Django-Hail-Bop-Vinyl And here is a shot I made of the back: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/back.jpg (Lots of reflections as the album remains unopened in very reflective cellophane.) patrick On 28 Jul 2013, at 05:05, Kelly Ricks wrote:
I'm curious, what is the name of the band/ensemble, and the title of the album/piece on the record?

Is it for sale on any e-bay like site? If so, please put in a link so that we can see what the album cover looks like (or, post the picture on your homepage and then e-mail the group a link to the original).

Funny you should mention vinyl. A few months ago I heard from a record company in the UK asking to use one of my eclipse shots on the cover of an LP they were producing. I thought it was a joke especially when they started talking some pretty serious coin.
So I checked out the company and found it's for real and gave them the ok to use the picture.
Next thing I know the check cleared the bank (actually I donated it to one of the animal welfare groups I support) and a package from the UK showed up containing several copies of the LP. Alas, though the eclipse picture looks great I've no turntable to play the records on.
Cheers,
patrick

You can buy a decent turntable (with a USB cable even!) nowadays for under $100. Vinyl has made somewhat of a comeback for audiophiles -- don't abandon those LP's yet! There's a fair market for some of them. My youngest has a turntable and several (new) albums on vinyl actually.

I have ONE 8 track left. Jethro Tull.
I probably have close to 150 LPs, myself.
My daughter killed my turntable when she was two. :-( On Jul 26, 2013 12:33 PM, "Larry Holmes" <larry@kijoda.com> wrote:

Chuck, I might be able to find you some 8 tracks, if Dan did not take them all. BTW, I probably have somewhere north of 175 vinyls. 73
