30 seconds seems like a common exposure by many imagers. Is this because noise starts to become an issue with most chips when exposing longer than 30 seconds? Or is it in consideration of the seeing conditions? Or simply a software convention?
I shot a few test shots the first night I imaged it and found 30 seconds long enough to register enough data but not so log as to make the comet streak. For continuity I plan on sticking with 30 for as log as possible but eventually it'll be moving so fast or getting so bright I'll need to shorten the exposures. patrick
