Speaking of field curvature from the other thread, these popular 15x70mm binos have noticeable field curvature. The same eyepiece test I described works in binoculars as well. Try it tonight on a suitable terrestrial target if you take a peek at the sky with a bino. Fortunately it's not very noticeable unless you're specifically looking for it.
