Photo Album / Server Down

I'm back in town now, but the server is defintitely down. I believe some of the hardware is fried. So I'm going to have to see which part, and replace it. Load up a new OS, restore from backup, and then we should be running again. This is for the utahastronomy.com photo album. I may or may not be out of town again this weekend, depends on the weather. So It may be a couple weeks before we are back. I apologize for the delay. Should be fun setting up a new server though. If the CPU is fried, then I'll be buying a faster one, woot! :D I'm thinking a 120 Gig HD may be in order too. This list is through xmission, which is independend of the server though, so if it's slow, that's xmission's fault. ;) On a good note, Levi got another agility title. He he. Cyn

Photo Album Okay?

Has anyone tried the photo album in the last couple days? A friend of mine on another album I have says that hers isn't allowing uploads. I had some problems beginning of this week with one of my websites, but I fixed it and things seemed okay. Today, however, all the mySQL databases are not working. It appears my database is offline. I didn't think this would effect the photo album, but it appears it might be doing so. :( And, unfortunately, I'm out of town this weekend and next for dog stuff. I'll try to do some quick fixes this week but no guarantees for a while. :) Anyone recommended their favorite Linux OS? I have Red Hat 8 on that box and it's no longer being supported. I'm thinking of setting up a brand new server with new flavor of Linux and moving everything over. Rob, I think the server only works when the baseball games are on. In that case it will work Monday when the World Series begins. Chuck, I have high speed internet service so I can watch TV and be online without missing anything. I'm tired of the Yankees going to the World Series so I'm cheering for the Red Sox. I finished up my slides last Thursday night in LaVerkin, UT. They are 10 minute exposures with a 50mm lens at f/2.8. Some resolution was lost when they were scanned but I guess that is normal. I used Kodak Ektachrome 200 slide film. This film is very sensitive to the red nebulae. All exposures were unguided. Debbie
