Huge, complex sunspot AR 2529

Hi Folks, If you have the Ha or white-light solar gear, this one is definitely worth a look--the thing is impressively big. I'm guessing it might be visible w/o magnification, but I am stuck doing taxes so haven't taken the time to check (as the clouds close in). It looks like it should be visible tomorrow also. In Ha, there's a lot going on around the sunspot also--interesting filaments, plages, and such. I haven't had a chance to check in white light, but I imagine that'd be great too. Happy Sun-day! John

I managed a few minutes in Ha today but the wind and clouds shut me down. Very impressive spot, can't wait for it to move in for a better view! I was testing out a new polar alignment procedure and refining data acquisition parameters for AstroTortilla when I decided to take a quick shot of M81 and M82. Observing tonight

Heading out to Vernon for the first time tonight. Anyone else going out that way? Planning on checking a few of the sites out on FR006 but may stay close to the reservoir campground since there are restrooms and I will have the kids.
