Hi all, I just finished a NASA training session on the Rosetta mission. During the Q&A someone asked how gravity on the mission's target (Comet 67P) compares to Earth's. The answer was around 1/10,000. So if when I stand on a scale here on Earth it reads 63 kg, I *think* on 67P it would read 6.3 grams (about the same as a US 25 cent piece). Have I got that right? Wanting to make sure I've got the decimal in the right place. patrick

Bryce Festival room

Hello all, I'm going to be volunteering in May/June at Bryce Canyon, and am trying to find a way to stay through the end of their Astronomy Festival. All rooms in the park are booked at this point, and unfortunately I don't own my own camping gear, so I'm hoping (a long shot perhaps) that one of you might have a lead on an available room (or sleeping space) that I might be able to take advantage of during that week. I am SO excited to head back west next month. It's been too long since I've seen those big dark open skies! Cheers, ~Kelly Ricks

Does Prostar still exist?

Has anyone on this list dealt with a company named Prostar-Telescope Making & Upgrading? I ordered a secondary mirror through them on the 30th of March and they withdrew the funds on the 6th of this month. But I haven't received any word if the order was shipped. The email I sent bounced back as failed and no has ever answered the phone there at 614-855-5341. Don't try the one number; 1-866-227-6240 they have listed for answering your questions - you'll get a automated answering machine who wants you to give your credit card number for a $100 gift card! Has anyone else heard of any complaints about these people? Tom Sevcik

Cheap GoTo mount

I bought two of these on eBay, one for a friend. Both checked-out perfectly. No tripod or power supply, but those can easily be cobbled-together if you don't have them on hand already. The price is pretty good! They appear to be factory reconditioned units.
